The Foundation's core values are the statements that reflect the fundamental philosophy of its operations. These include stewardship, service to donors, open door, community and integrity. These values provide guidance to staff and volunteers as we interact with donors, grantees, and the community.

With these values as guidance, the Foundation holds to the highest ethical standards through our policies.

Gift Acceptance Policy: Policy for negotiating and accepting various types of gifts for different types of funds.

Legacy Fund Policy: Policy on how to establish an endowed fund through our Legacy Fund concept.

Legacy Fund Template: Agreement template to establish a Legacy Fund.

Privacy Policy: Policy on how information is gathered, maintained and protected.

The Community Foundation Serving Howard, Carroll and Clinton Counties has achieved the Certificate of Standards Compliance with the Ethical and Operational Standards for Indiana Community Foundations. The standards are administered through the National Association of Council on Foundations to verify that foundations demonstrate accountability, transparency and continuous self-improvement.
