Lilly Endowment GIFT 9 Match

In a move that surprised community foundations across Indiana, Lilly Endowment announced another match and once again, your dollars can multiply. For every $1 you give to any unrestricted community endowment fund, Lilly Endowment will contribute $2, tripling your donation. The Carroll County Community Foundation has been invited to participate in Phase 9 of the Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow community foundation initiative (GIFT IX). By donating to an unrestricted community endowment fund now through June 30, 2028, (or until the donation goal is met) you can triple your impact on nonprofit projects and programs that benefit your county.

Establish Your Own Community Endowment Fund During the Match

Lilly Endowment is matching all contributions to unrestricted community endowment funds and that includes contributions made to establish a brand new fund! Normally, a $12,500 contribution establishes an unrestricted community endowment fund at the Community Foundation. But during the Lilly Endowment GIFT IX matching period, that same $12,500 starting contribution gets matched by Lilly Endowment to fully endow your fund at $37,500, effectively tripling your impact from day one.
